I've noticed that on the days I don't have eggs for breakfast, I feel hungry the WHOLE day. If I have cereal or oatmeal, instead of my usually omelette with veggies and cheese, I just can't stop eating. I think I read somewhere on here about being hungrier if you add your grains in the morning. Why is that?
I don't mind eating eggs, even every day, if it'll keep me from feeling snacky all day. But is it really healthy to have eggs every day? What about all that cholesterol? I don't like the taste of egg beaters, or at least I didn't when I tried them a few years ago. Maybe I should try again.
Can anyone think of any alternatives to eggs that aren't grains? It's probably the protien that's keeping me full, isn't it? I'm just worried that my cholesterol is going to be ruined with all these eggs.

Hi Laura!
I find that I can eat cereal or some other grain for breakfast only if I have protein with it. A Morningstar sausage patty seems to do the trick for me and keep me full. You might want to give it a try if you especially like cereal. HTH!

Are you having your regular snacks? Sometimes they help so much.

If I have a grain at breakfast, it is usually baked oatmeal. I liked having either two veggie sausage patties with cheese or turkey bacon with my oatmeal. Mock french toast also keeps me full all day.
I actually like egg beaters better than regular eggs. But I always eat them with salsa for flavor. I can't eat plain eggs.
I always, always have *some* protein in the morning WITH my grain. Usually its a Morning Star Farms patty or 2 pieces of turkey bacon with my cereal/english muffin/oatmeal - whatever I am having.
I would try adding some protein before you give on the grains for breakfast all together.
