My chicken/tofu and veggies are getting a little old. Are there any kind of sauces we can use? Can we have curry? You ladies are all so creative, you must have some good ideas to spice things up :)

I love shrimp in stir fries--or sometimes thinly sliced beef or pork. I don't generally use ready-made sauces. Usually I will saute some garlic & ginger in a little oil, then cook the veggies & shrimp in that--really simple, but yummy. Curry would be great, too.

These are my 3 favorite stir-fry's:

Stir Fry - 3 ways
For each of these I just sautee my meat/veggies first in a little oil
then add the sauce and cook on medium until it thickens slightly.

Sweet and Sour Sauce:
1/2 cup sugar-free apricot jam
1 T vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon powdered ginger
1 T soy sauce
1 T cornstarch (dissolve it in soy sauce before adding)

Peanut Sauce:
1 14oz can chicken broth
2 T white wine
2 T soy sauce
1 T corn starch
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/8 - 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper

Whisk together until smooth

Citrus Sauce:
2 teaspoon orange zest, finely grated
1 whole orange (chopped)
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 T cornstarch
2 teaspoon Splenda
1 cup chicken broth
