Hi Everyone, This is my 3rd week on SB. I have been following Phase 1 going by the book and lost 9 pounds the first 2 weeks-which is a miracle for me. I started adding some good carbs in and have not lost any weight this week and have been extremely exhausted. I feel like I need more carbs (for energy) but I'm so afraid I won't lose-especially since I've stalled already. Any suggestions will be appreciated! Kim

Hi Kim,
It's not unusual to maintain for a few weeks when beginning phase 2.
Don't be afraid of grains and fruits. They are GOOD for your body, HELP you lose weight, and make you FEEL better (that energy you are missing!)
I ate a full 3 grains and 3 fruits EVERY day in phase 2 and lost 67lbs. Now on maintenance I will eat 4-5 grain servings per day and 3 fruits and I have maintained for 1.5 years.
Fruits and grains are not the enemy. We often see people who say they are trying to eat "less" than the recommended grains/fruits - then they wonder why they have stalled. Don't fall into that trap!
