I bought these maybe a month ago --- when my label-reading skills were a little less advanced than they are now. :)
Ingredients: whole rye, corn bran, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, sesame seeds, salt, BHT (a preservative)
Stats for a 14 gram serving size: 1.5 g fat, 0 sat fat, 0 trans fat, 0 polyunsaturated fat, 0.5 g monounsaturated fat, 0 cholesterol, 80 mg sodium, 10 g carbs, 3 g fiber, 0 g sugars, 1 g protein
I bought these because for a SB serving it has 6 grams fiber! However, I'm a little worried about the hydrogenated fat now that I know better (remember the recent "rounding" discussion?). Also, I don't know if corn bran is good, bad or indifferent.
I figure I have three options:
1. It's not such a bad choice; feel free to eat as a grain serving.
2. Finish the box, but don't buy again.
3. Throw it away!
We also eat All-Bran crackers and Ak-Maks, so it's not like we can't find good and legal crackers. Which option do you think, ladies?
