Back down to my lowest weight in 6 years
| Fri, 06-01-2007 - 2:46pm |
I wasn't going to weigh in this week, but I was in the bathroom with Abi after her occupational therapy and there it was - a real doc's office style scale... so I stepped on it.
Down 2 lbs. Yea!
I am back down to 219 which is my lowest weight in 5 years. Actually, 6. This I knew would be a hard weight for me to get under b/c this is the weight I leveled out after gaining 40 lbs with insulin resistance (back in 2001 before I was officially diagnosed with it -g ained 40 lbs in 6 weeks it was awful) and those 40 lbs I"ve never been able to get off. Add pregnancy, working, more pregnancy.... you see it add up.
Anyway, the enxt 5 lbs will be big ones for me b/c they get me to my HALFWAY POINT!

Great news!!

Jennie,
Congrats on making this new WOE work for you! Your enthusiasm is very motivating!
Way to go Jennie!!!
I am so happy for your success! I too gained a lot of weight (rapidly - between 4-8lbs weekly) when I was pregnant with my first, as I had severe preeclampsia and that was one of the 'side effects' of the condition. My obstetrician told me that I would have to lose the weight 'the old fashioned way'. I was devestated - 64lbs is what i gained. I lost some of the weight before baby #2, but certainly not all of it. One of my mini goals is to get to my pre-pregnancy weight of baby #2 - 186lbs. So I am really excited that you got to your mini goal!! I guess it empowers me to someone reaching a similar milestone that I am trying to achieve. Awesome - keep up the good work!

Thanks CHristina!!
I've been so down lately thinking I should FEEL BETTER about my success and all seeing as I"ve lost over 30 lbs and all baby poundage (although some of the fat is still in baby poundage areas.... blech) and am now working on the 40 lbs I gained with the diabetes thing... but I just feel so ick!!! So, those were 2 big pounds for me.
How far to your first goal?!?!
You can do it Jennie - just keep on doing what you are and the pounds will come off. Sometimes they are just a wee bit more stubborn to come off then other times. Keep strong!
I started Phase 1 ten days ago, and yesterday I was down 5lbs (day #9). My big goal is to get down to 158 (50lbs total). I started at 208 and I am now 203. That means I need to lose 17 more lbs to get to baby #2 weight. I may need to reasses that goal of 158 once I get there, maybe I will feel that I should lose another 10, but maybe I won't.
For now, my goals is 158 and I would be THRILLED to get there!! 50lbs seems like a daunting number, but pound by pound, I think I can do it. Lord knows I've tried enough times, but this time things are different. I dont' feel like I am in a race, and I have lots of mini goals along the way to help me keep focused. (like a visit from dear friends from Arizona, my husband's University reunion, my brother and his family visiting who I haven't seen in two years, a wedding to attend...summer and shorts weather - ha! lots of reasons to keep on track!) Soon I will be starting Phase 2 which I am a wee bit apprehensive, but after spending time here on the SB message board, my confidence is gaining that I will do the transition successfully.
HOORAY! I am so happy for you... that is awesome. I was wondering the same thing about myself recently. I need to go back and look at my old Weight Watchers info. :P
Keep up the good work!
