Easy, easy. I didn't eat any.... in case it's bad... lol

But is it bad? Is it similarly bad to eriched white flour?

I thought perhaps I'd found a good cheat - whole grain goldfish.... made with... ta-da- whole wheat flour.. but ingredient two is enriched wheat flour!! What's up with EWF?

The word "enriched" is a red flag for us that a product is not acceptable for South Beach.

Enriched white flour and enriched wheat flour are the same thing. The words "white flour" do not indicate what grain it came from (white what??) but it is assumed to be wheat in this culture. Using the word wheat is just more specific.

I think today when Americans are seeing many more types of flour (soy, rice etc.) we should start seeing the words "enriched WHEAT four" more often. It still is not acceptable on SB - but at least you know what it is - LOL!

Hope that helps,

Lisa.
