Weeeeeeeeeeel, I just got back from the grocery store.... granted this is my second trip of the day as I did a mad dash in after church b/c Abigail was throwing up and I had to get Tylenol, pedialyte, crackers and Sprite ($13 not included in above amount).
Anyway, I shopped for Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (as we get paid Fridays and can shop on Thursday NIGHT for the next week which is what we "normally" do anyway but I've pushed what we already had here until today out of desperation lol)
I made the menu, put in my fish order w/ my parents (lol) figured up meals w/ what we already had, then made my grocery list and took a pencil and a calculator so we could adjust as we went and it worked out great! I would not want to shop that way every week.... it took a bit longer even with a shorter list and we almost "lost" the kids to tantrums...
Ok, so here is the list, it was $55 all together. We already had some things here like bottled water, a few lunches for Sean, 1 lb ground turkey, some brocolli, one box mix of tuna for the kids/Sean, goldfish... so this rounds out what we need for everyone to be fed and fed well (AND ME ON THE DIET YEA!!) until Thursday! Hooray!!! And I got the brand X crystal light (KRoger brand) and I got two boxes so 20 of them and they are DYE FREE - my DD (3) is sucking down a bottle of water w/ the flavor in it right now going mmm this not make my tummy hurt!!

That's awesome! I just went to the store and spend literally $55 JUST on fruit for the week! Nothing else. Already spend $175 on the rest of the food for ONE week last night. *sigh* Don't know how you do it, I'm jealous! By the time I buy all the meat I'm usually up to at least $50 there, then $50 on fruit, usually $20 on veggies, another $15 on diary (milk, yogurt, soy milk), another $15 on grains (waffles, cereal, bread, pita) Then there's eggs, lunch meat, cheese - so another $10 there. Then snacks - crackers, pretzels, nuts. Then we need peanut butter, salad dressing, etc. EVERY stinking week. Never have I spent less than $200 for one week of groceries since starting South Beach!

Don't be jealous, this would not work every week. We spend roughly %175 a week normally, and so this is BARE BONES groceries to make it to thursday.
I am making eggp[lant pizzettes, chili, cheeseburger mac and quesadillas (many times) and sandwhiches. Those are the main things... they all stretch more than one meal and then we have goldfish and saltines for the kids - their favorites lol.
Well done!!! You should be proud that you managed so well. You could teach us all a lot about using what we have and being thankful for what we have.
