I'm starting back to work tomorrow after my maternity leave and I have no clue what to take for lunch. I spend almost all day in the car so I need to pack things don't require being kept cold or being warmed up to eat. Prior to having my DS #2 and starting the SB WOE, I typically did drive thru or PB & J sandwiches. Those probably aren't the healthiest decisions now. So what meal ideas can you give me?

Get an insulated, cooler-type lunchbox... you can carry small ice packs and won't have to limit yourself so much.

You can still have PB&J once in a while or do takeout with salads and stuff like that too.

Good luck!

I agree that getting a soft-sided insulated cooler is probably a great idea for you.

PB & J on South Beach is totally legal.

Yep - an insulated lunch bag with reuseable ice packs is the way to go. My dh has always spent the majority of his day driving as well (from one job site to another, from one meeting with a client to another) and this is what he brings.

His typical lunch bag is filled with: a sandwich on ww pita (easy to eat while driving), a couple pieces of fruit, a cereal bar, a bag of SBD crackers, a Dannon Lite n Fit yogurt, string cheese, and nuts.
