Think I'll make it this time

Well, I'm in my second week of Phase II and I think I can do this. I had 2 previous "starts" -- the first time didn't do it correctly, thought I could stick to Phase I only and made it a month (prior to Thanksgiving). Second start was at Christmas -- don't need to explain that, not sure what I was thinking, maybe would have been better to start at New Years -- mentally I just wasn't there.
So after a few months of eating healthier than I did a year ago, but still not good enough to make the scale budge, I decided to try again -- and was prepared to do so.
I did Phase I exactly like I should -- had no cravings, no issues or anything, but did it for more to get healthy eating under control. And, after reading all of the fabulous posts here, I did move to Phase II after 2 weeks of Phase I. I too have the same issues as Deb, a new poster, PCOS and hypothyroid. I was successful about 8 years ago with Atkins (losing only, not maintaining) so adding the healthy carbs back in is a tough thing to think of. But I am . . . going slowly with it -- first week added one grain, one fruit. This week up to 2 grains, 2 fruits and think I will do that for a couple of weeks, especially with the hypothyroid and family diabetes problems.
So far so good . . . I am not hungry at all, in fact some days having trouble getting it all in due to the heat, I just don't feel like eating, but doing so with something "lighter" like cottage cheese for dinner with veggies.
I haven't weighed myself yet -- I lose weight so very slowly it can be discouraging, and as I must change my lifestyle for the health reasons above, I need it to be about being healthy, how I feel with the weight loss coming after that.
Thanks for all of the great recipes and tips -- I will keep looking forward to them!
Sue
