Snack Allowances

My boyfriend & I just started Phase 2 of SBD. We both did great on Phase 1 with me having lost 8.5 lbs & my boyfriend losing 15 lbs. However, although I'm fine with re-introducing fruits & grains into the diet, I'm confused about the snack allowances. On Phase 1, we were allowed 100 calories per day of any sugar-free "snack". We usually used SF Fudgesicles for this. Is this still the limit on Phase 2? With all the bars & snacks out there that are made for SBD, I'm not sure what I can/can't have or how much. So far, we've stuck with Fudgesicles, but it'd be nice to have the bars or cookies occasionally. But, I also want to be sure we don't break any rules when it comes to additional calories. I've also made up some SF/FF pudding, but not sure how to count that, either. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The "sweet treats" limit is still 100 cal/day on Phase 2. I can't remember how you count SF pudding, though, as part of that gets counted towards your milk servings. I'm sure a CL can clear that up for you.

Congrats on the great start! It is so much easier doing this with a support person--my DH and I have been doing it together for a year and a half. :o)

A CL? Not sure what that is, LOL.

Thanks for the sweet treat info. I have read more of the boards & it's sounding like the meal bars, cereal bars, cookies & crackers do not belong in that group, but I would still like a definite answer. I haven't purchased any because I'm not sure, but they'd be nice to have for the days when I just can't think of anything else to eat. I'm starting to get sick of eggs ^_^ And a bar every now & then for breakfast would be a nice break.

"CL" stands for Community Leader (they're listed at the top of the board).

If you're on P2, you don't have to continue to eat eggs for breakfast.

Yeah, I'm aware that we don't HAVE to eat eggs for breakfast anymore, but my boyfriend loves cooking them every morning, so how can I say no, LOL. They are actually pretty good; eggs w/avocado, RF cheddar & turkey bacon. But, I don't want to get sick of them. I will look in the recipes folder for further breakfast recipes to change things up.

I did read the Phase 2 info, but I didn't see anything in regards to whether or not the SBD Kraft snacks are part of the 100-calorie "sweet treat" allotment or not. Maybe I'm just blind. I did see pudding listed under "sweet treats", though, so that's clarified. I'll read it again, but I just want to be sure I am following this the best I can. Thanks for the info.

I don't use any of those products, so I can't answer that question.

Hi and welcome to our board!!

For the most part, the foods you will eat on phase 2 are the same as you did on phase 1 with the addition of fruits and grains. Here are the food lists for both phases:
