Shake for breakfast ok?

I completed my phase 1 on Sunday and now I'm on phase 2. I hated to eat eggs and meat in the morning so I'd like to know if it is ok to go with my favorite low glycemic shake in the morning? I take them from Usana : http://products.usana.com/bin/en_nutrimeal.pdf. They have a similar program to SBD http://products.usana.com/en/products/us/macros/reset/. I did phase 1 once and lost weight but then if you don't follow phase 2 you gain it back. That's what happen. I like SBD because in the 14 days I really learnt to eat better and taste new food and learnt how to make good choices.

If I can take the shake should I skip my grains (since there's fiber and carbohydrate in it)?

Thanks,

Cat

In general, protein shakes aren't recommended on South Beach.

MMM... the Reese's Smoothie sounds amazing! Thanks... About my Nutrimeal shake - I don't get the fact that there's fructose in it. So disappointed.

Thanks!
