Got very dizzy today...

I had ate breakfast, snack and lunch and then we went to the store.  We were in there for awhile and I felt fine, but I knew that I was getting pretty hungry for some reason.  We finished up and right when we got home, I started feeling very dizzy,  so I ate my apple and drank some water, and I was still dizzy.  Just a little bit ago, I found a peppermint in my purse and I ate it, now I feel better.

Is this related to not eating my snack in time or is it just a fluke?  It may not even be related, but I just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else, and if anyone has any advice about it?

Hi,

That does sound like it's related to your blood sugar levels.

I had this happen to me once within the first few weeks of starting SB. I had eaten a good breakfast and then we went out for lunch. Can't really remember where we went to eat or what I had, but then after eating, we went grocery shopping. In the middle of the store, I started feeling a bit dizzy, a bit hot and almost sick to my stomach. I had a few Tums in my purse and I took those and made my way over to the frozen foods so I could cool down a bit. The feeling passed after about 10 minutes. I believe it was a blood sugar level swing. Maybe my sugar levels bottomed out or something. It hasn't happened since then and now, I'm very careful to never leave the house without some kind of snack with me. I always have a stash of SB cereal bars in my purse and usually take some sliced apple and a cheese stick with me when I'm going out shopping. Guess it pays to be prepared.

I don't get dizzy but I do get the hunger headache. Like a PP, I keep the SB snack bars in my purse - the berry wild ones.

My DS Deklan is 18 mos old and he has sugar probs too - on the LOW end since the hour he was born- sometimes we split the SB bar. lol
