Mmmmmmmm, want to eat EVERYTHING!!! Me cookie monster!!!! rofl

I think I'm out of grain for the day! lol

2 pieces sugar free whole wheat bread toasted and smeared w/ SF strawberry preserves (breakfast)
2 cheese sticks, one wrapped up in a piece of cajun deli turkey breast (still breakfast, lol)
1 stuffed pepper (has some brown rice in it - hence being out of grain now!!) (lunch)
1 banana w/ peanut butter (snack, more lunch, lol)

It's 1:30pm so that's actually a normal amount of food for me up to this point but I've FELT hungry all day long - even after eating!!!

I need a dinner heavy on the protein and veggies... prob chicken taco salad. And I can't imagine how much I'm going to eat b/c NOW and dinner.. which is at 5:30. lol 4 hours... I can shovel in a lot of food in 4 hours.

I feel like maybe I need some caffeine? I'm dragging today. What perks us up the best????

Jennie,
I don't see any dairy yet -- how about a big glass of skim milk w/ iced coffee in it??? Maybe that will perk you up and keep you full as well.

Just out of curiosity, how did you sleep last night? Was it a normal amount for you?

I notice that if my sleeping cycle is thrown off (if I've gotten less than usual) then I am famished the next day.

Ah, could it be so simple as the wrong breakfast??? I do love my morning eggs but was feeling lazy. When I finish my crystal light, I'll have a glass of milk and report back!

It was pretty normal, in bed asleep by 11pm and awake with the kids at 8. That's nine solid hours. I am going to lie down during Dr Phil from 3-4 and maybe that will help.

I am getting over a cold - which was odd - I am not usually sick and to have a cold in July.... no one else in my house was sick!!

Jennie, a Reese's yogurt (natural PB, cocoa, Splenda) or yogurt with other flavorings really does the trick for me.

Well, I ate 1.5 servings of whole wheat 3 cheese tortelinni and it was excellent. And apparently what I needed.. or was in combination with everything else I ate, b/c when I was done, I was full and haven't eaten since (that was about 2pm I think?) and I'm just now thinking what do we want for dinner.

So, today I ate until I felt good, lol. Seriously. I was snapping at the kids, overreatcting to financial aspects of our cruise for September... just grouchy in general. So I ate... and ate... and ate... then I felt better... lol but it was ALL on the diet!

Me too Jennie -- wonder what's up with that? One thing I have really liked about SB is that I don't get hungry, in fact, I've had trouble some days making sure I get everything in. And with the heat we are having, I don't feel like eating most days.

So -- just finished up my dinner, with my remaining food for the day (not much) some split pea soup with crackers (yum, it was good). Going to get on the treadmill to keep my brain occupied. I will have a treat of a SF popsicle after the treadmill and hoping I'm not hungry later. I ate everything I could today!

Let us know how you do -- keeping positive thoughts for you -- remember, the cruise!!!!

Do you exercise at all? If you see how slowly the calories burn off, you may be a little more mindful about how much you eat during the day.

I have days like this too. Today was one of them! A low calorie way to get yourself filled up is by munching on veggie sticks w/ hummus or some LF dressing. Carrots, celery, cucumbers and red peppers do the trick for me. I find myself needing to "crunch" often during the day. I feel like when it comes to veggies you can eat more for less calories. Maybe add a glass of milk too. Also I find snacking on tuna or chicken salad on cucumber slices (instead of crackers) is good.

I also notice with me that if I don't eat my usual scrambled eggs/eggwhites for breakfast that it throws my day off. Maybe try some more protein and veggies in the morning to see how the rest of your day goes.

I was starving today and didn't have this stuff on hand...I'm going to take my own advice and do some smart snacking tomorrow so I don't eat cheese and crackers before bed (the bad kind) !

Aggie = )

I took Maggie's advice this afternoon and brewed up some espresso and added it to ice and milk...it was so good! Have some leftover coffee in the fridge for tomorrow!

I exercise sporadically... unless you count chasing, carrying, and swinging around two 30+ lbs kids daily. So far, the super hungry days have been balanced out with the normal days and in the last two weeks I've started losing again (2 lb each of the last two weeks) and have had more super hungry days during those weeks than in the 7 weeks before. I've no idea, but after my last migraine I've started paying more attention to what it feels my body is telling me I need... so today when I was craving "grain" and that was odd, I ate grain. Prob 4 servings rather than my usual 3, but still better than 4 months ago pre-SB when I would have had ice cream, sonic, BK or some other fat riddled, white bread meal!!!
