I was wondering if some foods would count as a grain serving. Bananas (i hear they're a starch)? Pumpkin? Sugar - free jelly? Sugar - free pudding (you know those 60 calorie cups)?

The Foods to Enjoy lists clearly define each food group:

Phase 1:

Phase 2:

For pudding you count the calories towards your 100 calorie sweet treat limit. You can also count each 1/2 cup of pudding towards a 1/2 cup dairy serving.

You'll find bananas and pumpkin on the phase 2 list. Bananas are a fruit and pumpkin is a starch. Sugar-free jelly is allowed in phase 1 and the calories count toward your 100 sweet treat limit.
