Overdosing on cheese & peanut butter!!

I am craving cheese and peanut butter. In large quantities.

I probably ate 5 cheese sticks yesterday (2.5 g fat, 60 calories each)
2 handfuls of nuts (one peanut, one cashew)
and for breakfast I had peanut butter on a banana (what I just had again today)

Then late last night I thought I would die without an enormous bowl of Kashi Go Lean crunch drowned in skim milk.

Huh?

Hi Jennie - I am going to piggyback on your post because I am having the same issue. I can't seem to eat enough PB. Once I have had my nut serving for the day (usually PB because I love it so much!), I find myself grabbing a few nuts and don't think twice about it until AFTER I have swallowed them. I had the SB peanut butter cup for the first time this weekend, so I probably went over on sweet treat calories. My AF left yesterday, so I hope this is all because of it and things will get back to normal today. I haven't had any cheese or nuts this morning yet.

I doing okay with the cheese as of right now, but Kroger didn't have Laughing Cow on sale, so that may cause some issues this week. WalMart didn't have LC. :( I tend to eat more of regular cheese than the seasoned Laughing Cow.

Hang in there. Try to go for the veggies over the higher calorie food if you can. Even fruit might be a better choice (as long as it does not make the cravings worse). I think you need to eat bulkier foods so that you feel like you are eating a lot (and don't feel deprived). You are eating the smaller, more calorie dense food and that may not be satisying your desire to eat. I say this because I love to just be engaged in the act of eating! Just a thought.

I also just wanted to mention that the Go Lean Crunch is not legal on SB. You should switch to the regular Go Lean.

I checked by box and I do have regular go Lean so at least that's good - I don't know why I was calling it Go Lean crunch - although I do LOVE to crunch on it!!!

I am going to saute my fav veggies and grill a LOT of chicken for lunch so I can have some extra handy if I want to munch - grilled chicken is prob better to munch on than PB right???

those are HUGE weaknesses for me. I truly understand. I do it more like a binge thing. I don't but block cheese often. Harder to do it with grated parm. It'll pass, you will equalize it. Leila
