I'm back - brother pulled through...

Hi Everyone!
This feels like a homecoming...I'm back and happy to report that my brother finally got out of intensive care last week, and unbelievably is back at home. The Neurologist told us to expect a 100% recovery in about three months time. It's just unbelievable - from almost losing him so many times to this. Thank you all for wonderful words of encouragement and prayers!
Now I feel I can get back to focusing on SB and losing weight and being part of this awesome community! Hopefully it won't be hard to find my 'groove' again on Phase 2. I look forward to us all getting to our goal weights!

Peter, my brother who just had the aneurysm is 49, my other brother was 42 when he had his second brain aneurysm . The specialists at the hospitals say that it is just a 'fluke' that this has happened to my family. But myself and my sisters are taking this not too lightly, and we are avoiding anything that can put us at higher risk. (smoking, high blood pressure, excessive weight lifting, stimulants such as caffeine, etc.)
This just puts my health quest in highter gear, and that's why I am back here after missing most of July (because of all of this going on.)and getting back into the SB groove.
We ALL need to take today as a gift, and live it to the fullest.

It really puts life into perspective and forces you not to take anything for granted. Good for you for taking your health into your hands.
I'm so sorry this happened to you and your family.
