Sela,

Phase 2 is great! Now you have so many more options available when choosing meals, snacks & ingredients. The possibilities are endless! Almost any recipe you would have made pre SBD can be fitted into SBD with minor ingredient modifications but without affecting the core taste.

Breads, pasta's, fruits . . . yummy!!!

Phase 2 is the *real* SBD in my opinion. Phase 1 is a good motivater for most but phase 2 is the weight loss phase. I lost 11 lbs on phase 1 but went on to lose 59 lbs on phase 2. I'll take the 59 lbs over the 11 lbs any day!

With p2, you'll feel less like your on a diet with restrictions & more like a normal person eating normal foods. Your "normal" foods will be healthy choices instead of the old "normal" foods you've been used to choosing (unhealthy, artery clogging, weight gaining, fat ladden, etc).

I promise if you truely stick to the SBD you'll feel better physically and mentally. You'll gain inner strenght just knowing your treating your body better & you'll have so much more confidence in yourself watching the weight effortlessly melt away. Sure, you may struggle along the way; afterall, you've probably been eating unhealthy for some time & this way of life takes some getting used to. Anything new takes time to adjust to.

My best advice? Wipe the word "diet" out of your mind. This is not a diet. I could never diet. Never have & never would. The word "diet" just sets people up for failure. Besides, a diet can not last an entire lifetime but the sbd does. So you see, thats why its not a diet. Choose to be healthy for the rest of your life.

Here's my SBD story in a nutshell: I started SBD February 2005 at 188lbs (5'2") a tight size 16. Obese on the BMI charts, high blood pressure, borderline high cholestrol, pre-diabetes; physically my weight was the cause of these ailments. I literally ran from the camera. No pictures of me with my family, no pictures with my kids, & certainly no pictures alone. Early October 2005, just 6 months later, I was at my goal weight of 125 lbs. My body decided it wasn't done losing weight yet & I continued to lose until I balanced at 118 lbs. Now, here I am almost 2 years later & still 118 lbs & size 2/4. No more high blood pressure, high cholestrol or diabetes. I've been in thousands of photos with my family.

SBD was one of the best decisions of my life!

Good luck! I'll be rooting for you!
