I bought this new Arnold Double Fiber bread. Per slice it's got 1.5g of fat, no sat. fat, 5g dietary fiber, 3 g sugar and 4 g protein. I'm not sure 5g is double anything. I am concerend that the 3rd ingredient is high fructose syrup. What do you think?

Hi
Thank you! I love it because it's very hearty and it was on sale for half price! :)

Check the weight of the slice.

I bought some of the Arnold 100% Wheat Double Fiber bread the other day. It's by far the best tasting I've tried so far. If memory serves correctly, 1 slice is 43g, which is about as close to the 30g grain serving that I've been able to find around here. And each slice has 5g of fiber. Even DH commented about the bread after taking a bite of a sandwich yesterday. I went to Publix yesterday and bought 2 more loaves. They were on sale, 2 for $5!!! Now, if they would only start carrying some higher fiber pitas & wraps, I'd be in good shape!!!

Isn't it yummy? It is so hard to find 30 g slices around here too. And I have very limited luck with pita and wraps. Oh well, I do the best I can, I figure I'm doing better than if I wasn't paying attention at all. I just can't stress out about every little detail.

Same here, Tara. I've just started seeing the Arnold breads in our local grocery stores in the last month or so. I don't often eat pitas or wraps anyway. I do use the wraps sometimes for mexican lasagna or in chicken enchiladas, but rarely do I eat a pita sandwich or use the wraps for sandwiches. I really prefer an open-faced toasted sandwich for lunch. Throw a little reduced-fat mayo, lunchmeat & cheese on a piece of bread and toast it til the cheese melts. Mmmm, made myself hungry!!!
