P2 Stalls

I would be curious to hear about some folks and their P2 stalls! My weight has stalled now for nearly 3 weeks. Has this been typical for others who are in P2?

Stalls or plateaus are not uncommon on Phase 2. The best way to break them is to change what you have been eating and increase/or change your exercise routine.

I stalled for NINE weeks after losing 17 lbs in 2 weeks of phase 1 and the first week of phase 2. I think that is your body adjusting to the new loss and then it did pick back up again, coming off in chukns of 2 lbs here, 2 lbs there. Completely normal. Keep eating. Do not think you need to cut back servings of your core things (veggies, dairy, lean meat, fruits, milk!!!) in order to lose, you need to feed the metabolism you have jump started!!!

I also had hit a plateau having lost 15 lbs after pregnancy on Phase 2. It lasted for a month. No matter what I did it didn't seem to affect the stall. I figured that if I had grains in the evening, I didn't lose weight, so I switched around my meal plans so I had no grains before night. it's different for everybody - how to get off the plateau and which methods work or don't. The main thing is to stay motivated even if you don't lose weight.

I'm experiencing a stall right now. I started at 183, and have bounced around from 148-153 over the past few weeks. I'm experimenting with meal planning, and have decided to take a sabbatical from alcohol (I think I may have been overdoing it) and see if that works. I'm pushing myself harder during my runs. It's pretty easy to go and jog 3-5 miles now, so I've begun sprinting in intervals. I know my neighbors must think I'm nuts (sprinting down the street), but I can already see the payoff in the shape of my legs. :)

Based on what I read from this site, it appears very common, and I am taking the suggestions to heart from the others about switching my routine and food choices. Many others have broken through their plateaus, so I hope I will too.
