"No Sugar Added" Suspicions

On our recent trip to Michigan to see DH's family, we bought some "No Sugar Added" Cherry Jam at the landmark restaurant The Cherry Hut. This morning I had a big spoonful of it on my cottage cheese and it was so good that I got suspicion and did what I should have done before I bought it: I read the labei. The ingredients were: cherries, apple pectin and grape juice concentrate.
Am I correct in assuming that "apple pectin" and "grape juice concentrate" are just ways of making sugar sound healthier? I sure hope that I am wrong, but that jam was just too good to be legal!

I'm not sure about the pectin, but it does sound like the grape juice concentrate would contain sugar, though it may just be the natural sugars from the grapes. I know that when I made my own jam this summer, I found sugar-free pectin.
