Hi everyone, I will be new as of Wed. Oct 24th. My 39th bday will be Tuesday and we are going to the Cheesecake factory and wanted to start fresh the day after:-) My goal is that I am physically fit and healthy by the time I reach 40! I want to lose 20 - 30 lbs... I'm 163 (?) @ 5'6 and would like to be closer to 135 - 140. I have been lurking on the board learning alot this week and reading the book along with articles on SBD. My best friend will also be joining me in this quest for health.
I am planning on grocery shopping this weekend and need any tips on the best snacks and foods to have around for phase 1 so I'll take any suggestions that have. Are carrots allowed and laughing cow cheese during phase 1?

I've yet to find a single friend that will do this diet with me - they all say it's too hard! Yet they whine about wanting to have lost 40 lbs too! lol
Well - get on the freakin' diet people!!
Phase one: natural peanut buttur, turkey deli meat, cheese sticks, eggplant, canadian bacon, mushrooms, zuchinni, chicken, chicken, chicken - you know what is so good? Getting a WHOLE chicken, salt, pepper, or season it inside and out and cooking it whole!!! OR chicken pounded flat, stuffed with mozz cheese, folded over and wrapped up with turkey bacon and baked at 350! OMG I'm hungry! EGGS EGGS EGGS (or egg beaters should you be cholesterol consciuos) and you can add mushrooms, orange peppers SO SWEET!) SHREDDED zuchinni and cheese to them - yum!!!
Branch out on the veggies - I discovered I love brocolli in all forms!!!
