Intense Craving--Pumpkin cheesecake
| Fri, 10-26-2007 - 9:17am |
I made it through Phase 1 without cheating, and I'm just starting day 5 in Phase 2. My problem is that I see pumpkin cheesecake EVERYWHERE. I always enjoy(ed) having a piece this time of year. I've refrained from eating it so far--but I need help to avoid slipping.
If I know myself, a piece of cheesecake would lead to cake, would lead to french fries, and finally, a real cherry coke.
I tried the pumpkin pudding recipe on the board, but I was not too fond of it. Any other suggestions?
Would a sugar-free dessert containing flour be ok in this phase? Or should I avoid it altogether?
One last question: how many pieces of fruit/day are allowed in Phase 2?

Hello there!
I just tried the Sugar Free Fat Free Jello-o Cheesecake Pudding and it was quite good. I'm guessing if you added pumpkin pie spice that it would be lovely! I also have this recipe on file- it uses crushed pecans for the crust, so it's all legal!

I wouldn't risk a SF dessert without flour, especially given your cravings;
I'm working on "legalizing" a recipe for pumpkin cheesecake bars.
Hi,
Check out this thread.
OMG I am so excited for the pumpkin cheesecake you posted, and Deb, can't wait for the bar recipe your working on.
One thing that I have found that is critical with pumpkin puree is to first draw off some of the water.
Well, as a result of this recipe (and the pumpkin recipe Cathy posted, made completely sugar free) we've discovered that we don't really like baked goods made with Splenda :(
I made this recipe from the Autumn pumpkin recipes thread for dessert last night.
