Is This OK?

I posted here recently and I'm continuing to have trouble getting started. I'm giving it yet another go and have a few questions.

I'm not a big breakfast eater, but feel I should eat something before my morning workout.

Is it OK to have a smoothie made with skim milk, plain yogurt, splenda, bananas and peanut butter?

Is it important to have protein in the morning if I plan to workout?

If I don't have peanut butter, can I add some kind of protein powder and if so, what kind to I get?

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes, your peanut butter smoothie is fine to enjoy.

Thank you!

So, now for lunch I had a large salad with leftover grilled chicken and 4 teaspoons vinaigrette. Even though I am very satisfied, I am CRAVING something sweet. It's always been this way for me. A cookie or piece of candy would do it for me. How do I break this cycle?

As far as the rest of today goes, I'm defrosting some frozen split pea soup for a mid-day snack. Then for dinner I'm planning pork chops in a balsamic vinegar glaze, a hot vegetable and 1/4 of an acorn squash.

If you include my dairy/fruit smoothie for breakfast, do I have everything I need for the day?

Can I eat more if I want and if so, what??

Rather than torturing yourself by not having that piece of candy after lunch, why don't you get a bag of sugar free hard candies and have one after that healthy salad. There is no reason to deprive yourself from something

I agree that you should not deprive yourself.

As I suspected things went downhill (as usual) after lunch. I caved in and had 3 (okay 4) pieces of the Halloween candy. Then, I had a cup of tea, a couple of Cheez-itz, a glass of white wine, a perfectly acceptable SB dinner, then a bowl of (allowed) cereal.

I like the idea of eating the candy...but making it sugar free. I think I'll buy some and should be able to limit myself to one per day.

So far today I've had a soy patty, one egg and some V8.

Get rid of the candy.
