Meal plan for the week:
tonight I'm making chili
Tues. we go out
Wed. medt. chx w/ ww angel hair pasta
Thurs. salmon in a bag w/ brown rice
Fri. mexican pot roast
Sat. leftovers
Sun. another crock pot chx recipe
Needed some new recipes to try. I am serious about this holiday challenge! I've got to get that scale moving!! I am officially caffeine free now. I need to stay this way for me. It hit me one night, "what is a person with as many headaches as you doing consuming caffeine??" The answer is I use it to self medicate! But the truth is it can drive a headache cycle, not stop it. So. TWO weeks of withdrawal headaches in addition to a migraine or two and I think I made it over the hump!!! YaY! I am way too sensitive to caffeine, its just not for me. Its on the list with any and all corn products as a big no-no.
Now I need to get the kids out of the tub (I'm sitting in the bathroom with the laptop on my lap) and get on the treadmill and then off to the grocery store!! (sounds easy, could very well take the rest of the day!!)

I was always under the impression that caffeine was good for headaches because it opens up the blood vessels.
No, Cathy, you're right it dilates the vessels.

Medt chx - meditteranean chicken???
We're having pork chops, steak, grilled fish, chili (randomly through the week for me), turkey tenderloin, whole roasted chicken, and then free for all (prob SB meal for me, pizza for everyone else)
I couple everything this week w/ Whole wheat bread, ww pasta, vegetables, brown rice.
Re: Migraines
I get them not from caffeine (and a year ago I was drinking 6-7 cokes per day) but from too little "good" fat in my diet.

Wednesday- Stuffed Peppers w/ Parm-Roasted Cauliflower
Thursday- Dinner out
Friday- Baked WW Penne w/ Salad
