Today is my last day of P1. I lost six pounds the first week and two this week for a grand total of eight pounds! Yesterday, I went grocery shopping for fruit and grains. I also bought a popcorn maker yesterday, so that I can have a lot of diversity with my snacks. I'm both excited and nervous to go into P2. There is no way that I could have stayed in P1 one more day! I'm proud to announce that I only cheated once (I had a few tortilla (sp) chips with my spinach dip). I do, however, have a few questions and a little bit of anxiety about going into P2. Am I allowed to have butter on my popcorn? Does it have to be canola oil? I'm concerned about the taste if I use canola oil. Does anyone have any recommendations? What fruits or grains can I introduce during the first week that will NOT stall my weight loss. I was upset that I lost only two pounds this last week, and I am partially convinced that once I introduced fruits, grains, and starches I'm going to start gaining weight instead of losing it. How does whole wheat pasta really taste? My mother, who is also doing SBD with me, and I are convinced that it's going to be horrible and stiff. I'm willing to try it. She is not. I know that staying on P1 longer is not going to help my weight loss. I probably could have moved to P2 a lot earlier since my cravings stopped at the beginning of week two, but for my mother's sake I continued in P1. I guess I'm just nervous that once I have something sweet I'll go off the deep end or I won't see any progress. Sorry for the long post, but it feels good to get it all out.

TIA for the advice and support.

Hi, silk -- congrats on a very successful phase one! I am sure someone will pop in soon with the answers to your questions, I wanted to welcome you and give my opinion on the ww pasta -- I ended up liking it better than white.
Hi,
Congratulations on your success in phase 1.
I just had the same wake up call with my pasta choice- that's why we're here, you learn so much! :-)
Awesome job with finishing P1 so successfully!
