How bad is it if I don't get all of the recommended dairy in? I can't tolerate milk and I don't like plain yogurt. So the only dairy that I eat comes from cheese. Will this stall my weight loss?
Silk
P.S. I do take a calcium supplement.

Cheese is a protein on South Beach and doesn't count towards your dairy.
I detest milk, and have since the 1st grade.
I feel like it's a crime that cheese doesn't count as dairy.
Can you tolerate it in a smoothie, or using it to make chocolate milk or oatmeal?
Yogurt - gag.
there are just somethings I just will not put in my mouth.
When I was a kid my grandmother would sit a glass of milk in front of me everyday after school. And everyday after school I would sit at the counter staring at that glass of milk until my mother picked me up, because of course I couldn't leave the counter until I drank the milk. It became a battle of wills between my grandmother and me. It lasted for like a month, but I won! That's how much I hate milk.
I'll look in the recipe folder for a smoothie recipe.
Thanks,
Silk

Two words: Reese's Smoothie
1/4 c. plain nonfat yogurt
3/4 c. skim milk
1 Tbl. unsweetened cocoa
1 Tbl. natural pb (no sugar added)
2-3 packets Sweet & Low or whatever sweetener you use to replace sugar
2 ice cubes
Whirl it up in a blender (I use my Magic Bullet, absolutely love it!) and drink up. It's heaven. :-)
