If you have not tried these, do!

I am never going back to slow cook oats, these are so much tastier and keep me full for hours and hours.  And I cook them overnight in the crock pot and then throw in what you need for however you want it flavored and bkfst is ready!!!!

I am not a morning person, so the fewer decisions facing me in the kitchen at 6:30, the better!!

Do you live in the south, Sharon??? I live in Alabama. It steaming hot down here right now. I've got the ceiling fan on and am tempted to turn the AC back on. Which is so strange to me, especially when I watch the news and see how many states have power outtages due to the ice/snow.

I probably won't be making oatmeal again until it gets a little cooler as well. Truthfully, oatmeal doesn't really sound good to me in this kind of weather.

Yes, I'm in the Tampa area. That little sub-tropical disturbance that is supposed to go south of Florida is supposed to bring in some showers (40%) on Friday and cool off the area a little bit.

I've crocheted so many incredibly beautiful things this year that I want to start wearing them!!!

Looks like God is sending me a bit of cooler weather for my 49th birthday on Saturday!!! That's what I wanted!!!

Happy Birthday Sharon!!! Hope you get everything you want...including that cooler weather!!!

We're supposed to cool off considerably by the weekend. About the same time we leave for an overnight trip to Knoxville. Maybe it will be cooler up there!!!

You're only as old as you feel, Sharon. Hopefully, that's really young!!!

A shawl might feel nice...in 2 or 3 weeks, after this heat wave..LOL!!!

Sharon,

If you don't mind my asking, where near Tampa are you from?

Hi Deb,

I'm in Pinellas Park, a little city stuck in between St. Petersburg and Tampa. Third generation Floridian (between St. Pete and Lakeland)!! I went north for six months in the early 80s to live in Minneapolis during January to almost July. Boy, did I ever see the snow!!! I loved every second of it, but was ready to come home!!!

Don't feel too bad about your 20 degree weather. This morning it was 37 degrees!!! Never hit 60!! I'm LOVING it, however, as it is one of the 10-12 days of the year that we get to wear our cute sweaters and jackets!!!

You should come down to Riverview sometime. It has really grown!!! And as for the Tampa skyline, it has really changed in recent years and is beautiful!!!
