DYK that was a very sad book

DYK I'm currently reading 2 books alternately--one a non-fiction book about the CIA, and the other a non-fiction about a man who was wrongly convicted of a murder back in the 70's...

DYK I'm having a hard time finishing books lately for some reason?

DYK maybe I'll finish one while I'm hanging out at the hospital this weekend...

DYK you've probably heard this before, but taking away some of the crap that they trash the rooms with might be an idea?

DYK I know you said you've taken/thrown out alot of the kids' toys already?

DYK my neighbor has the same problem with her 4 kids (and her DH never helps out)--she tried taking away alot of the toys and putting them in the storage room, but her oldest DD would just go get them out again...i say get a lock for the room!

DYK you could also try going on strike for a few days...if *you* can live with the mess!

DYK if I start drinking now I'll be trashed by 7pm and I really want to watch American Idol and House before bed.

DYK I don't even know where to go start with the kitchen and laundry.

DYK I did 6 loads yesterday and so how can I be behind.

DYK I prepare, shop, cook, serve and still get left with clean up.

DYK Is it like that for all SAHMs. I mean am I just bitching about stuff that I shouldn't be?!?!?!

DYK I did leave 99% of the toys packed up.

DYK and I purged... OMG 24 bags of trash, 3 bags of clothes, 2 bags of toys to my niece, (and by bags I mean tall kitchen trash bags) but

DYK YOu're prob right I am going to have to go one step further and put all of Abi's clothes out of reach and bolt the refridgerator shut.

DYK i'll have to box up all her shoes and put them out of reach - she already only get one SMALL blanket at night b/c I was overhwlemed with the amount of laundry with her wetting and refusing to wear pull ups - and by refusing I mean we gave up 2 years ago when she scrapped ruts in her skin to get one off.

DYK Oh Jennie!?

DYK needing breaks doesn't make you bad at something?

DYK there are things I know I'm good at that I still need breaks from? Like scrapbooking. Sometimes you hit a creative rut and you need to walk away?

DYK sometimes when I find myself needing "too many" breaks I realize I'm not taking the right kind of breaks.

DYK you need a personal break? I think when you "take a break" you go accomplish something else on your list. That's not a break. You need an entire kid free day. Can you set a girls weekend up or something? You need a real break!

DYK CONGRATS!!!??? I'm starting to believe you might actually be human and not Superwoman!

DYK holy cow I would be overwhelmed, too!

DYK my DD is in 1st grade, and about the only homework she ever has is to prepare for her spelling test and read a book once a week!

DYK we don't usually even bother with the spelling b/c she already knows it--I'll sometimes ask her during breakfast on Friday to spell her words for me, but that's about it?

DYK she does some math and reading stuff on the computer, but it's not required homework?

DYK she also reads *alot* on her own, just b/c she likes it?

DYK hearing what your DD does makes me think maybe my kids' school isn't doing enough!

DYK I am really enjoying Oprah today. I am HUGE on instincts and following them (which is not apparent in how I keep reading parenting books, blech, whole other post, lol)

DYK Sean is driven crazy by the fact that I sense his energy - he says he can't have any private feelings.

DYK I told him to quite wearing them on his sleeve and I wouldn't pick up on them so easily, lol.

DYK I love in this house how our reception is so fabulous - we don't

DYK I hear ya on the laundry!

DYK I did laundry on Thursday, and tried to do it Sunday but the washer broke. Yesterday DH started freaking out about not having enough underwear...OK dude, we won't have a washer til Thursday afternoon--not much I can do about that right now! Guess I'll have to go buy him some!

DYK I swear he thinks I should do laundry every day!

DYK I get stuck with clean-up most of the time, too...I think we all wish our DH's would pitch in more...

DYK I think we had this discussion a couple weeks ago about how the DH's do the "occassional" chores like mowing the lawn, while we do the "everyday" stuff, and they think that's fair!
