What is your favorite brand of sf maple syrup? I've never tried any but I made some great buckwheat waffles this weekend and was just missing that maple flavor.
And I used Kodiak Cakes mix for the waffles. Makes great pancakes too!
Here's my silly question about this. Being from Canada, where 90% of the world's Maple Syrup comes from, what is SF Maple syrup? Are we just calling all syrups Maple Syrup? (ie whether it is Aunt Jemima, ED Smith, Safeway Brand pancake syrup or if it comes 100% from a maple tree??)I can stomach the idea of SF syrup, but I can't get my mind around the idea of SF maple. Is there such a thing as SF Maple? Is it any good???
Just have to ask. There is a Maple bush about 5 minutes from my house, there is a Maple Syrup festival about 45 min from here.
For the record, the ED Smith SF syrup is not bad. Whenever I have pancakes or whatever, that is my brand of choice.

I have tried many.
I really like the Smuckers brand of sf syrup more than the other brands. I've never tried the kind that Cathy uses though.
I think I first tried it at a restaurant. I've seen it everywhere I've tried to buy it, here and in Washington.

Hi Ann,
Good question.
I like Mrs. Butterworth's pretty well.
I like the sugar free stuff you get at Cracker Barrel, otherwise Mrs. Butterworth.
