DYK People like Condoleeza Rice are amazing to me??? I think she has already accomplished way more than I ever will??? She's actually from around here??? Not that any of that rubbed off on me??? LOL!!!

DYK Maegan is sure that her parents came straight from the devil??? We let her get by without so much as cracking a book last summer and this summer it's read your English project books, do your worksheets and practice, practice, practice your flute and karate???

DYK We have told her that if she doesn't start doing better on the worksheets, that she will have to take them with her on vacation???

DYK But I secretly hope not, because I don't want to deal with checking worksheets on vacation??? That was Bruce's idea, btw???

dyk I thinks it's sports in general that can help with success

dyk (I'm sure you do) figure skating really isn't a team sport, unless it's a drill/precision team

dyk I think it's the discipline of anything that helps in setting our kids up for success

dyk I better get on it with dd

DYK I am playing with the idea of bringing the kids' workbooks to the lakes?

DYK DD actually loves doing them, so she'd probably be happy taking a half hour or so each day to do it--it would be good rest time for her?

DYK we are definately bringing lots of books!

DYK my DH's cousin is *very* rigid in their schedule--when they go on vacation to the farm every year, she has an actual schedule typed up for every day--literally minute-by-minute, from getting up, to going for a walk, to showering, and on and on?

DYK and her DD (now 17?!) has to follow that schedule with her--including the 6 AM walk? Daily homework, even on a vacation, is required?

dyk it must be contagious; I am having a fat day too

dyk but that did not stop me from buying 4 pants at the Gap when I went out for lunch

dyk I can wear them all for work, and all 4, with tax, came to $87

dyk I am not a bargain shopper, so this was a major accomplishment for me!
