dyk my big plans involve my bed, a glass of wine, and my DVR?
dyk DH is going to a coworkers birthday party (which I didn't feel warranted getting a babysitter so I could attend), so I'm looking forward to catching up on all the shows I recorded this week...
An Eastern Iowa woman had more of a jolt than usual from her morning coffee.
The Iowa Department of Public Health reports that the woman had seen a bat in her house, but wasn't particularly concerned about it. WHA?! She "wasn't particularly concerned"???
She turned on her automatic coffee maker, went to bed and drank her coffee as usual the next morning.
When she removed the coffee filter that night, however, she discovered a dead bat in the filter that had gone through that morning's brew cycle.
Ann Garvey, public health veterinarian, said the woman underwent rabies treatment for the exposure, which occurred last month.
The bat was sent to University Hygienic Laboratory in Oakdale for rabies testing, but the brain had been too cooked by the heat of the brewing water for a determination, according to the health department.
dyk since DH is gone, I'm thinking I'll take the kids out for dinner
dyk we'll stay out here, which means a choice between McD's, Subway, pizza, or the "giant pork tenderloin place" (remember, I do live in a tiny town--pop. 2007--without even one stoplight!)...
dyk the only healthy option (Subway) just doesn't sound good tonite...I'm thinking the tenderloin will win out...
