DYK usually I need to have the strict guidelines to follow. It helps me stay on track.
DYK I don't know how I got so far off track!
DYK the good thing about eating raw is that I don't have to limit myself. I can eat as much of anything I want, as long as it's raw. (because no one gets fat eating too many apples or carrot sticks! LOL!)
DYK I've been thinking about increasing my raw intake for months now, but I never seem to do it. I figure I'll just take it one day at a time and not stress out about it. I think today will be all raw, but I'm not sure about the rest of the week. I'll just see how it goes.
dyk isn't it so crazy how everyone needs to go about eating/exercising in a different way?
dyk being strict works GREAT for you, while it totally backfires on me!
dyk you'll get your willpower back, I just know it.
dyk interesting?
dyk why are you doing this? Is there a medical or dietary benefit?
dyk just curious?
dyk I haven't had lunch yet and my stomach is growling?
dyk I am waiting for the cleaning lady to get out of the kitchen and then for the floor to dry?
dyk hurry?
dyk since Phil is away I am have a Lipstick Jungle party on Wednesday?
dyk we are also getting together to plan a progressive dinner we are having in a couple of weeks?
DYK it is interesting how different things work better/worse for different people.
DYK thanks for the encouragement!
DYK I had never heard of anyone eating only raw food until after I became a vegan and starting seeing it on blogs. I thought it was a totally wonky concept at first. (which I also thought about veganism back in the day. LOL!)
DYK but from what I hear, it's a very healthy (if not, the healthiest) way to eat. Depending on who you ask, of course. It helps with digestion because food loses a lot of enzymes as it's cooked. It's helped people recover from chronic illnesses that they couldn't find cures for before. Obviously, you're getting tons of nutrients from your food because everything you eat is really healthy. I've also reads a lot of stories about cancer patients who start eating raw and juicing a lot and it helps them (although, it's by no means a "cure" for cancer), but it does help you remain alkaline, which is important when you have cancer. I've also read tons of stories of people who have lost a lot of weight by eating raw. People say that they just feel better, more energetic, cleansed, better skin, better sleep, etc. when they are eating raw.
DYK here are some of the first raw blogs I found: http://www.welikeitraw.com/, http://crazysexycancer.blogspot.com/, http://kristensraw.blogspot.com/.
DYK so my goal isn't to become 100% raw. I just want to incorporate more raw food into my diet for right now.
dyk I'm sorry to hear about your car troubles!
dyk that's so frustrating...
dyk, I got back about 2 hours ago
dyk, it was a good weekend with lots and lots of bad eating (cheesesteak, Jake's burger, Gadzooks Ice Cream, WaWa breakfast sandwiches, and Amish baked goods to name a few!) and very little good eating
dyk, and the bad eating hasn't ended yet...
dyk, but it was all good
dyk, I saw my best friend and it about broke my heart (she's going through chemo AGAIN for brain cancer), but it made me feel better
dyk, I saw her new dog
dyk, and I have a few pictures of me and her (and the new dog) and I don't look as bad as I once did in pictures
