DYK The kitties seem to forget every single time that it is *not* as warm outside as it is inside?

DYK Boo is the only one of ours that insists on being out in the winter

DYK Sunday I let him out and within five minutes he was back at the door to come in

DYK he gets all fluffed up and his nose turns bright pink...too cute! :-)

DYK as someone who has only ever known one set of parents, I can tell you that personally, I never had any issues with being adopted. I'm glad I had a closed adoption because it made it simpler.

DYK but my parents were always very open with me. I've always known that I was adopted. They told me what they knew of my birth mother, etc. So being adopted was never something I had to deal with. Most of the time, I didn't even think about it.

DYK but I can imagine how much more difficult it would be with your bio mom in the picture. That's a lot for one kid to handle.

DYK I have been wondering about Fellini, but have been afraid to ask in case something sad happened in my absence.

DYK glad to hear she still rules the roost.

DYK I couldn't begin to explain his reasoning if I tried.

DYK I disagree with him.

DYK I can't believe how expensive it to adopt internationally! My mom told me the story of how they got the money to adopt me (which wasn't very much). But friends and family wanted to help, and so they were getting checks in the mail from people. On the day the money was due, they got one last check in the mail for the exact amount that they needed, down to the penny.

DYK you were lucky to experience both!

DYK foster work is hard. Not only on the parents, but on the other kids as well. It's definitely not an easy decision to make.
