DYK we may have a Nova dilemma and may need to change her name!

DYK the difference between "Nova" and "No" may be difficult for her

DYK and since she is all puppy -- she's coming out of her shell, she needs to learn "No".

dyk that's too bad about having to (possibly) change the puppy's name

dyk maybe a new one could be one with a similar connotation -- newness and brightness

dyk at least that's what I think of when I hear the word Nova

dyk and that description fits her well

dyk she's getting a new lease on life, and she has a brightness to her eyes that belies what she's been thru

dyk as for her energy level, you and Scott may get tired, but it'll be a very satisfied tired and well worth it every day

dyk and if anyone is up to the task, I know you are

dyk love and compassion are definitely in your list of giftings, and you have developed them beautifully

He has another daughter though...not sure if I'll ever be interested in meeting her.

DYK I also have another brother and another sister?

DYK It isn't so much that I don't want to meet them, I just don't see it ever happening?

DYK from my brother's discussions with my father they apparently aren't exactly model citizens?

DYK I hope if you every decide to reach out to your sister (or she to you) it becomes a really positive experience?

DYK - For those of you who have no contact or very little contact with other bio family members

DYK- One very good reason to get in touch with them would be family medical histories.

DYK- Just the past year we (my sister and I) put together a very extensive one - due to all cancer issues we have in just our immediate (sisters, mother, grandmothers) family.

DYK- In talking with other family members we learned alot about the cancers, types, and ages of diagnosis, as well as diabetites (sp?), heart disease and a few other odds and ends

DYK- So when I had my genetic counseling for cancer, they were amazed at what I had to share with them and from that I got a very good idea of my chances (3%) of getting breast cancer.

DYK- So that is one thing to consider if you decide on contacting your family members or not.
