DYK I've been doing the more than one place for grocery shopping for a few months now?
DYK I use Super Walmart for panty items, which would be staples...canned goods, pastas, cereals, diet sodas, coffee..anything that comes in a can or a box pretty much?
DYK I will buy a few produce items from Walmart if they look fresh, but get most of my meat and fresh produce at Publix?
DYK Then usually once a month, we go to Sam's Club and I buy 93/7% ground beef, boneless skinless chicken breasts, pork tenderloins, and sometimes some flank steak and sirloin steak?
DYK I've found that this combo of stores is saving me somewhere over $100 a month over shopping just at Publix?
DYK I have also been checking coupons.com and smartsource.com for coupons for items we use all the time?
DYK And I take the time to search the weekly sales for Publix and Walmart and try to buy what is on sale?
DYK It takes a little bit more time, but I think it's well worth it?

DYK So when they say tornado warning, we head to the basement?
dyk I'd be doing the same thing.
dyk I find I buy the same things at the store - over and over and over
dyk how do I change it up - WHAT do I buy?? lol
DYK I find I do this too . . . but there are only so many things you can get
DYK what I'm trying to do is keep the staples in place, but change up with some seasonal things -- different veggies/fruits
DYK and trying to change up some recipes -- we've gotten into a rut with the same 'ole stuff, so trying to change it up
DYK so far, found a few things we like, and a few - ah, we'll eat but not make again.
dyk I am looking for like cold meals? you know pasta salads... my kids are not opposed to beans
DYK I have a couple of pasta/rice type cold recipes I'm saving up for summer -- I'll have to find the link and get that to you
DYK if everyone likes broccoli and chicken, you can make up mac-n-cheese adding those -- and crumble up some flavored crackers (like garlic-n-herb) on top and its actually quite yummy and an entire meal in one pan
Same with a cold pasta salad -- take your basic italian style pasta salad -- add some extra colorful veggies like red/green peppers or broccoli, chop up and add grilled chicken.
