Over The Land Is April

OVER the land is April,
Over my heart a rose;
Over the high, brown mountain
The sound of singing goes.
Say, love, do you hear me,
Hear my sonnets ring?
Over the high, brown mountain,
Love, do you hear me sing?

By highway, love, and byway
The snows succeed the rose.
Over the high, brown mountain
The wind of winter blows.
Say, love, do you hear me,
Hear my sonnets ring?
Over the high, brown mountain
I sound the song of spring,
I throw the flowers of spring.
Do you hear the song of spring?
Hear you the songs of spring?

Robert Louis Stevenson

DYK can anyone recommend a good moving company?

DYK we're still looking for one for our move (next month!!!). I thought that I'd found one and I was waiting to put down a deposit until the friends that recommended them had completed their move. That turned out to be a really good idea, because the company sucked. It was actually a broker, and then they found movers for you. The company was really late, doubled their charges, their stuff arrived weeks after it was supposed to, and a bunch of stuff was damaged.

DYK needless to say, we're not going with that company!

DYK the slowcooker risotto was a bit over-cooked

DYK the recipe called for leaving the rice on high for two hours, and I think it should have been low for 4

DYK I will have to try it again sometime...

DYK I know! I can't believe it's almost here! I feel like I've been waiting and waiting, and all of a sudden it's snuck up on me.

DYK I have no idea how we are going to move our stuff. I mean, there are a few big and well-known companies we could go with, but they're kind of expensive. I want to save as much money as possible, since neither of us have jobs yet and we're going to have to pay 1st and last months rent, security deposit, and the cost it will take just to drive back.

DYK and even if I do find a job, I won't start working until after the bar anyways, so it will be a while before I get a paycheck.

DYK have I mentioned that I really need Pete to find a job? And soon? He hasn't really applied because he thinks he's under qualified for everything. (which he's totally not).

DYK He should apply for anything and everything and let the employer make the decision as too how qualified he is!

DYK I'm going to get caught up here over my lunch?

DYK right now it's laundry and de-clutter efforts -- I have someone coming to clean for me tomorrow!

DYK decluttering is more than half the battle here...especially after a weekend at home and I wasn't feeling to well (pain continued)

DYK looking forward to
