For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.  The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.       Song of Solomon 2:  11,12

dyk I just checked out the Mountain Creek website and it looks like they have more for kids than they used to

dyk I also think some of the other rides may be tame enough for smaller kids

dyk at that price and given that it's so close, what do you have to lose

dyk I just can't seem to find the time (or the energy) to tackle most of them :(

dyk this joke is a bit inappropriate for it's own thread below

dyk I know you DYK ladies will enjoy it

Difficult choice......

A man wakes up in the hospital, bandaged from head to foot. The doctor comes in and says, 'Ah, I see you've regained consciousness. Now, you probably won't remember, but you were in a pile-up on the freeway. You're going to be okay, you'll walk again and everything, but.....something happened. I'm trying to break this gently, but the fact is, your willy was chopped off in the wreck and we were unable to find it.'

The man groans, but the doctor goes on, 'You've got $9000 in insurance compensation coming and we have the technology now to build you a new willy that will work as well as your old one did -better in fact! But the thing is, it doesn't come cheap. It's $1000 an inch.'

The man perks up at this. 'So,' the doctor says, 'it's for you to decide how many inches you want. But it's something you'd better discuss with your wife. I mean, if you had a five inch one before, and you decide to go for a nine incher, she might be a bit put out.

But if you had a nine inch one before, and you decide only to invest in a five incher this time, she might be disappointed. So it's important that she plays a role in helping you make the decision.'

The man agrees to talk with his wife. The doctor comes back the next day. 'So,' says the doctor, 'have you spoken with your wife?'

'I have,' says the man.

'And has she helped you in making the decision?'

'Yes, she has,' says the man.

'And what is it?' asks the doctor.

'We're getting granite countertops.'

Hi Teresa, I need some creative juices. We are giving prizes to some of the mothers in church Sunday. (Well, actually we're giving a geranium to every mother too, but prizes to a select few.) The prizes are to be awarded for things like "mother with the most kids", "mother who had the largest baby", "mother who went past her due date the longest amount of time," and things like that. But the ones I mentioned above we've used other years, so I'm trying to come up with new ones. Do you have any brilliant ideas, oh creative one? I have a few in mind, but thought I'd check with you to see if you have better ideas! Thanks! ~Jean

dyk, I'm home today - I scheduled the day off a couple weeks ago

dyk, but it's not going to be a relaxing day. My phone started spazzing yesterday and I have another appointment at the Genius Bar today.

dyk, word of advice to any iPhone users - BACK UP YOUR DATA

dyk, I could have been done last night but since I never backed up my data, the guy didn't want to do anything to my phone because I would lose everything.

dyk, I take some sort of satisfaction in knowing that the 4 guys I talked to last night had NEVER seen an iPhone act the way mine was acting.

dyk, mother with the biggest (time) space between kids?

dyk, the wording needs fixed...think the Duggar's, she's got 20ish years between oldest & youngest

dyk, not necessarily oldest vs youngest - could be 2nd vs 3rd, although depending on the family, that might get offensive (an *oops* baby revealed?)
