dyk, except...firing someone is such a rarity in my industry that even my VP who's been in the industry for nearly 30 years has only fired (or had a part in firing) a handful of people
dyk, most people realize that they aren't cut out for it and leave on their own

dyk I didn't know John
dyk I knew what you meant Teresa
dyk but I read things so literally when I'm trying to catch up that the nuances and innuendos, well, let's just say jet tracks
For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.
dyk yikes on the finances discussion
dyk Mark and I have come a long way in our discussion of them
dyk at this point I know there aren't any hidden accounts or any unknowns because there's no extra with which to do anything like that
dyk if it ever came up here, I hope I'd have the nerve to say the same thing
dyk I actually think that even with not liking confrontation, that might be an instance where I'd stand up for myself and let him know what was what
dyk that, and the fact that as I age my filter seems to not always work as well so my mouth sometimes blurts before my brain can stop it
dyk age does have its privileges, so long as it's not cutting or mean or anything like that
dyk and it never is, just a bit more honest and blunt than some are used to from me
dyk I'm sorry, I totally hijacked
dyk this reminds me, I need to start planning our housewarming party!
dyk YAY on the numbers Jennie
dyk I know that deep down you heaved a huge sigh of relief
dyk the knowing makes everything better
dyk I bet your mood swings will be lessened even more than the 2 hour eating pattern is helping them with this news
For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone.
dyk John played guitar in a new wave band in the 80s after he dropped out of Univ of Oklahoma
dyk they toured (mostly in the south and southwest) for a couple of years
dyk don't ask me the band name; I have no idea and he has never played any of his music for me.
dyk he had some limited success but ultimately decided it was too great of a longshot to be able to make a successful career from it
dyk so he sold his guitars -- all of them -- and went back to college in Chicago
dyk he did not play guitar again until I convinced him to buy one off Ebay a few years ago (he has since bought 4, LOL).
dyk before we bought the house, John and I almost never talked finances.
dyk time to head home and walk Barlow.
dyk he got a bath yesterday, and John washed both his blankets, so I suspect that
dyk, you're right about getting used to it
