DYK I stopped journaling online some time ago, but I still keep my food/exercise journal daily offline?
DYK I am still weighing pretty much every day and taking measurements once a month?
DYK Apparently, when the time comes to maintain, I will already know what to do?
DYK But for now, I would still like to see the scale going down a bit?
DYK It seems that every time I put on a few pounds, I have a much harder time taking it back off?
DYK I can drop the pounds...twice I have been down from over 180 back to 177 or so, but I cannot seem to maintain anything under 180 for any length of time?
DYK And I started counting calories on dailyplate again a few days ago?
DYK For 3 days in a row, I have been around 1530 calories a day, seemingly without really worrying about my calories, so I think that is about what I have been eating normally?
DYK And the calculations on dailyplate say I can eat somewhere around 1788 calories a day and still lose a pound a week?
DYK My scale is killing me tho?
DYK It tells me every day that I'm eating something like 3800 calories a day....how can that be?
DYK I wish I could just turn that feature off because it infuriates me every time I see it?
DYK I've been looking at my daily totals on daily plate and all I can see is that I am under on my calories, under on my fat and over a little bit on sodium?
DYK Anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong...should I add more fat...or eat more?

dyk alright, since I always love to hear the opinions of everyone here on the board, I have a question.
dyk we just watched a segment on the news about tweens/teens and their privacy re: email, texts, and facebook.
dyk what's your take on that?
DYK So far so good with the Jillian Michaels book?
DYK I have a feeling she's about to hit me with only organic, grain fed and cut out all artificial sweeteners?
DYK I'm not sure I'm ready to do that..or if I could financially afford to do it?
DYK Haven't really learned anything yet, except that Jillian eats 1800 to 2000 calories a day and spends about 5 hours in the gym per week, tops?
DYK And the way she feels about working out (for herself) is that it's something she does because she has to, not because she wants to?
DYK Don't know about you all, but I was actually glad to hear that?
DYK Exercise is not something I think I will ever love?
DYK For those of you that don't know, Jillian wasn't always in good shape?
DYK At 14yo, she was 5 foot and already 175 pounds?
DYK So eating right and exercising is something she has to work at?

dyk she sends a great message that you don't have to live in the gym to see results.
dyk 5 hours a week isn't much...definitely doable.

DYK My one piece of advice to you (and anyone else younger than me), is to lose the weight while you're young and your metabolism is at it's highest?
DYK I can really tell a difference in my rate of weight loss in the last couple of years and I think a lot of it has to do with peri-menopause?
