1. Tell us about something good that happened in 2005 OSS moved in w/ us. DD became a confirmed member of our church. I could go on and on...
2. Tell us about something bad that happened in 2005 Honstly, I can't think of anything *major* here....OSS and DD drive me nuts, but it's typical teen stuff.... Nope, can't think of anything worth writting.
3. Do you have any New Years resolutions or anything you would like to accomplish/do differently in 2006? No *resolutions*, I've never been good with following threw with them...however, DH and I are going to start eating better and exercising. We're not calling it a "diet", I'm not too good with those either. lol
1. Tell us about something good that happened in 2005
Earlier this year I was promoted at work. It was something I worked towards for a long time and it was a proud moment for me. Also, my dd started high school and despite all the anxiety she had beforehand is flourishing there socially and intellectually.
2. Tell us about something bad that happened in 2005
It was a difficult year for me with my mum. She had a long-standing heart condition that needed surgery. For the first half of the year before the operation she was in and out of hospital emergency rooms almost weekly. Everytime I called her and couldn't reach her I was afraid she was at a hospital again. And usually I was right. We were often so afraid for her. At the same time I was so busy at work (esp after the promotion) and it was incredibly stressful. I remember one particular occasion when I had to leave her in a hospital bed to travel for work. She finally had the surgery in July and even though she had a very frightening couple of weeks in the hospital when post-surgical complications arose, she is now doing so much better. This is where one of the worst parts of 2005 turned into a good thing. She spent the holidays this year happy and healthier and stronger than ever.

My resolution I guess started mid Nov when I joined a gym. I want to regain the healthy person I was a year ago. When my mum became ill earlier this year, that along with the busy times at work kept me away from my exercise and I admittedly started eating poorly. As a result I gained 40 pounds. My resolve is to lose 40 or 50. I've joined the gym, I have a personal trainer and I'm doing my best to make healthier eating decisions.
