I know alot of you have read past posts about my daughter and her boyfriend. Tonight I am so discouraged. She told me tonight she likes being with him because he doenst make her feel like an idiot like some people do. But she has blinders on and doesnt see what he really is all about. He tells her what she wants to hear and he has even told me he knows how to play teh game "you just tell people what they want to hear" but my daughter can't see thats what he is doing to her. Last night he told her if a certain team was playing in the final four basketball game that he wasn't going to show up at church where he was a part in a play. When she started questioning him about it he ended up just telling her he was kidding. (he wasn't kidding, he told her what she wanted to hear). It happens all the time but she can't see it. All her friends see it so it isnt just me. I am really discouraged tonight cuz it doesnt look like she is even coming close to seeing him for what he is.

Are you afraid that your daughter will not see this boy for what he is until it is too late and she is married and pregnant? I don't know the history, but why not just let the chips fall? What good is a lesson if you are trying to spare her the conclusion? Better she learn now not to believe everything you hear that later when serious consequences could result. Don't protect her from disappointment, you will only prolong a hard-learned lesson. Good luck, Betty
