After the whole mess with whether to stay with cheerleading or not and her making the decision to stay with it, her body may have other ideas.
She has (supposedly) mild scoliosis - 3 degrees. Her doctor was not concerned about it at all. She has always had a "super" arch in her back (not a hump). With all the problems with her right leg (sprained ankle, weak knee, pulled hamstring and pulled groin) she has been seeing the school trainer ALOT. Today he sent her to the "big wig". He went straight to her back, said she has uneven hips, and one leg longer than the other and made the assumption that she has spondylosis (or something like that). It explains alot. She has a doctors appt tomorrow and hopefully we can quickly get into the specialists.
She is just devastated and thinking the worst. She definitely can't cheer for the next 3 weeks. And the way this guy was talking, she may be done for good....
I'm feeling terrible that I didn't take her in to the doctor sooner, but yesterday she started complaining that her (right) knee has been giving out on her. I've asked her for the last 2 months about going to the doctors and she kept saying she was fine just seeing the trainer, but she wouldn't follow the trainers instructions (like not cheering or doing gym).
She again is feeling that she let the squad down - their first competition is in 3 weeks and they are back with only the 2 flyers. She's just lost....
