Ok, we live out in the country, about 10 miles from town. And, none of my oldest DDs friends are really any where near us (well, not including the one who's got a brother that's sometimes got the hots for her, which I'm NOT leaving her in a house with parents who do wacky weed and drink, her friend and her two teenaged brothers). But, one of DDs friend's called today. While talking she asked DD if she could come over. DH and I thought about it. We decided since we were going to be out and about anyway for a few hours that she could go over for a couple of hours. Baby steps. I promised her that if my lovely daughter didn't come back in the same shape she left that it wouldn't happen again. She made it home. In one piece, and I didn't have a melt-down. You'd all be proud of me. When the two police cars raced past us toward the direction we'd left her, thoughts did run through my mind, but I didn't say a word. Just a silent prayer. We went back at the agreed upon time. Friend's mother was nice when I went to door to get her. So far, so good.
I think my DD's proud of me, too. <<<(Me... "Yes, I am veeeeerry much...!", says DD)
Good night all!!!
Sallie

Yay! Good for you!
