...me. My name is Debby and I am new. Just new today. I am very excited about the conversations here and look forward to interacting with parents who are at the same stage of their kids' lives that I am.
I am the mom of 4 kids. Girl-15, Girl-14, Girl-9 and Boy-8. I have been married 17 years to my soulmate and best friend. We are still going strong and my marriage couldn't be more amazing.
I found my way here to this board because of our 2 older daughters. They are a sophmore and freshman in high school. There is drama in our house...but not over the top. My husband and I have good relationships with all our children, but sometimes I just need to vent or share or just know that there are others "out there" going through the same stuff we are.
I love photography, scrapbooking and yes, I play video games with my son. I hope I feel welcome here...I will read the boards and catch up before I do much talking.
Thanks and have a great evening!

Welcome Deb! I know you'll find some advice and support here - it's a great group. I'm Sue and I have two kids. DD15 is a sophomore in HS and DS7 is in 7th grade (sort of like your oldest and youngest!). We have our regular sort of HS/teen drama, but so far pretty manageable.
Welcome!
Sue
Hi Debby -- and welcome!
I'm Julie, married 17 years and live in San Diego county with DH, a 15yo DD who is a sophomore and an almost 13yo DS who is in 7th grade. I've been hanging out around here for a couple years now and have posted here quite a bit about my DS already because I appreciate the BTDT experience from other moms of sons.
I've been blessed with two good kids that I adore and of whom I'm very proud! There was far more drama in the middle school years with DD than there seems to be in high school ... so far. (This board was a great blessing to me during that ms drama!) DS is either avoiding the ms drama like the plague or is doing an extremely good job of ignoring it. Since I was recently informed that I 'make a big deal out of everything' it's quite possible no one is telling me what's really going on!
Looking forward to getting to 'know' you.
Hi and welcome to the board. You will find this a great place to vent, get advise, and make some new friends. I'm Marie from California and have 3 kids: ds17, dd15, and ds10 (11 in February). I've been here two years since I came on to get advise on dealing with my dd, who has by far the most difficult of my 3 kids. I have learned so much from the moms on this board who have btdt, that I can honestly say things would have been very different for me had I not come here!
Hi Debby...welcome to Parents R Us. My name is Anna and I live in North Carolina. Been married to DH 17yrs, we are the proud genetic contributors to DS 23yo (step-son but he is mine, just have to share) & DD 16yo.
Our life is truly blessed, we have more than we could want (favor is not fair) and a most awesome family. 3 dogs (Coco, Jake and Frodo); Coco rules the roost, weighing in at 14 pounds of bullet proof Jack Russel Terrier. Jake and Frodo are our overly friendly labs topping 100 pounds of slobber.
DS is entering graduate clinical psychology fellowship (praise the Lord!). He has lived at college for the past 5 years and has grown into an admirable young man. He will be moving out of state, we will miss him terribly but what ministering he will bring to others in life.
DD (reminder she is 16yo) has entered the phase where we know nothing or understand nothing. Outside of the routine teen drama, she is the most fantastic person I have ever met. She is kind, good hearted (when not gossiping), funny, smart, beautiful, outgoing, determined, independent and the least prejudiced human I know.
As I watch my children transform before my eyes, I am amazed at the struggles it takes to get there. There are trials we both have to endure on this journey, through it all, I am enjoying the ride, for the most part. The final destination will be worth the trip.
Oh, I absolutely love Mercy Me!!! You have excellent musical taste. Welcome & Happy Parenting...Anna
Hi, Debby! I'm Sallie, welcome to parents not-so anonymous ;o), heheheeeeee. It's late, and I worked today. I'm Mom to 4 girls: 14, 12, 4, almost 14 months. I'm married to DH and we live in midwest. I work full time and DH is SAHD. Our girls are pretty good. DD#1 is freshman and DD#2 is 5-6th grade. We have just begun a homeschooling journey on top of everything else going on in our lives. We've got a small farm, 2 cows, 3 goats, 7 pigs, 3 cats and 1 dog. Oh, and I forgot all the bunnies. It's fun to see the computer geek wanna be 14 year old getting out and trying to get the pigs to come to her. It's a hoot.
I'm tired and can't think well. Good night all!!!!
Happy New Year!
Welcome, Debby!
Sallie
