This morning, Trevor went out and started his truck, had to go back in and get something, and *obviously* hit the door lock button on the door, locking the door---with the engine *running*!

I never would have thought it wouldn't work. My car can't be locked if the motor is running, if I try to get out and lock the door when it is running the locking mechanism pops open and the door isn't locked. So I can't lock myself out with the car running.

I did one time take my little nephews to McDonalds and when we left to go home I couldn't find my keys. Where were they? locked in the car with the car running the entire time we were in there. Luckily I lived only a few houses away and I ran home and got my extra keys.

We all do some stupid things sometimes don't we?

I remember one time in high school we went out for pizza and my friend locked the keys in the car w/ the car running and didn't notice it until we came out.

Oh, that was cute! Now, my aunt had an experience, and I SWEAR this is for real....where she had to help a cute young blonde thing who was panicking because she couldn't get her key to open her car door - it wouldn't turn, or something. Thing was, she was driving a convertible, and the top was down. :-)
