Thanks for sharing the picture, although I did not see any boy with long hair, lol! I keep trying to get my son to grow his hair out, but he won't do it!

Another reason why it would be unwise to post snaps of my son. You all would be shocked! His hair is blond, thick and goes to his shoulders. He actually looks better with longer hair than with shorter hair. As long as it is clean and not too messy, I don't care.

My DS usually adopts a 'gangsta' pose in which he looks utterly ridiculous!

I am joking about the pics, of course (but not about the hair length.) So, you are telling me that any pics of my DS would not trigger a visit of scissor-yelding moms, braving the icing elements of the frozen north on dog sleds, to come to my rescue and make my DS not look like a DD? I am sooooooooooo relieve. I hate to share my coffee with anyone, even well-meaning moms with scissors!

My DS got a 'hair grooming jell" from his sister for Christmas. His comment was that the jell is useless unless he cuts his hair. Duh! I have threatened that I will sneak into his room one night and put curlers in his hair.

His sister offered to dye his long flowing locks but he declined the offer. Thank *** for little mercies. Now that would be a picture...long purple hair, dark blue eyes, peach fuzz, sloppy jeans on a not tall kid....

iteadrinker, that is soooo funny. I don't have a problem with long hair. I like a lot of different styles, like you say as long as it's clean and not too messy.

A few years ago my nephew was into the spiked look so we gave him a huge tub of gel for Christmas.

Here's another story one of the kids teachers had his hair long when he was in college and often kept it in a ponytail. He was home for Christmas break and had gone out the night before with the guys, so he needed a mid-day nap. When he woke up from the nap his ponytail was hanging on the fridge. His mother had cut it off while he slept.

Nice pix! Hair looks fine.

My DSs alternate between long hair and buzz cuts. DS18 had to buy clippers to buzz his head at then end of Oct, but regretted it when the weather turned freezing cold shortly after. I prefer the longer hair on both, as long as it's not plastered down from wearing caps of any sort.

ROFL - even though I personally don't like long hair on boys I keep my scissors away from other people's kids!!
