Ok, on New Year's day it was me being a brat and trying to 'guilt' my ds17 into doing what I wanted him to do.

Shels, take it easy, "these things happen".

It happens...I once forgot to pick up my son at pre school. Course, he was in a safe place, but I felt like such a loser. I blame my SIL, she phoned and distracted me, lol..

Just have a Plan B in place. Also, all my kids have cell phones. Calls to or from mom and dad are number one priority, then they can use them for recreation.

There was a story in the newspaper yesterday that really tops these--some parents didn't know their 2 yr old was left behind at Chuck E. Cheese for TWO DAYS until they saw her on the news.

That's good about the phone, shels! If it were me, I'd tell my ds the truth and let him know that he got lucky THIS time!

Yes, we told him that Sprint gave us the upgrade at no cost to us......but,he doesn't care about the specifics, just that a new phone is on the way and HE doesn't have to foot the bill.
