Yesterday DD13 came home from school and said that one of her good guy friends had been looking at her....uh um..... 'chest' all day. After school, on the way to the buses, she leaned over to him and said " Hey, Greg, want to know a secret?" He said " yeah", she said "My face is up here!!!!" (while making a circle with her hand around her face). I had to laugh. She really has it together as far as this kind of thing goes. Last month a guy on the bus inappropriately touched her and said "I'm h--ney, want to go do it?" By the time she got home that afternoon she had already reported him and had him suspended from school. Of course, DH was ready to go kill him.

To me, a kid of 13 being proactive in handling sexual misconduct is awesome!

Thank you all for for wonderful comments. I agree more girls , and women for that matter need to do what she did!!! She has no trouble standing up for herself or someone close to her. When we first moved to TN we had a problem with a neighbor boy bullying all 3 of my girls. He would push them down and hit them. One day my DD13 had reached her limit with it and sent him home crying to mommy with a bloody lip. Now mind you we do not condone violence, but IMO, you MUST stand up for yourself against a bully, and sometimes that is the only way to get your point across to a bully.
