Dyk

"The cuckoo comes in April,
Sings a song in May:
Then in June another tune,
And then she flies away."

dyk, can you call the company and/or the delivery people

dyk, and I certainly hope you didn't pay for shipping...because that would be a bit ridiculous and I would demand to have the shipping costs refunded

Past Races:

dyk, I went to high school with twin girls whose parents used to let them fight it out - the only rules were no punching in the face or slamming the other persons head

dyk, apparently from the ages of about 3 to 8 at least one of them would end up with bruises on their arms/legs every week or so

dyk, now, they are super close, so I guess it worked...

DYK It is dairy free...but it does have apples in it...I suppose you could try it without them if apples are a problem? Or try adding some applesauce if you think you could handle that instead?

DYK I really love this recipe because it reminds me of my Mother's applesauce cake that she makes around Christmas?

Warm 'n' Fruity Breakfast Cereal
TOH Comfort Food Diet Cookbook p. 54

Serve w/plain yogurt and sliced bananas or blueberries.

5C water
2C seven-grain cereal (I use 2C steel-cut oats)
1 medium apple, peeled & chopped (2 or 3 apples)
1C unsweetened apple juice
1/4C dried apricots, chopped
1/4C dried cranberries
1/4C raisins
1/4C chopped dates
1/4C maple syrup (use sf)
1t ground cinnamon
1/2t salt
chopped walnuts, optional (I omit the walnuts)

Spray the crockpot with butter spray first. In a 5-qt. Slow cooker, combine the first 11 ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 6 – 7 hours or until fruits are softened. Sprinkle individual servings with walnuts if desired.

Yield 10 cups.

Nutrition Facts: 1 cup (without walnuts) equals 185 calories, 3g fat, 0 cholesterol, 120mg sodium, 37g carbs, 5g fiber, 5g protein.

Dailyplate: made w/2C steel-cut oats, 2 apples and sf maple syrup. 2702 calories for the entire recipe. 271 calories per serving.
