DYK Think ahead to your new place and how happy you're going to be there, Jennie?

DYK I've always hated packing to move, but got thru it by doing that?

dyk I am stressing over money - we're cutting it close with the deposit and first month's rent and our half month's rent here and our cell phone bill and the rental truck and a new water deposit.

dyk all of it's been paid.... when the dust settles, I hope I can buy groceries next week, haha

dyk I have some of those!!!

dyk I don't really know what changed in my shopping but the weekly expense has dropped drastically -

dyk I shopped for today thru Thursday (half a week basically) for $56 -

dyk granted, I need a gallon of milk, ketchup and trash bags

dyk but other than that - we had our diet soda and that was it

dyk my kids would LIVE on cereal if I let them

dyk and some days I do. Hence needing more milk haha

dyk Joy, I don't know if this will be helpful or not...

dyk a close friend of mine was recently divorced

dyk she planned out how she was going to do it for the better part of a year before she even told her husband she wanted out

dyk she took stock of ALL expenses - household, child related, etc.

dyk she know EXACTLY how much EVERYTHING costs and how much it costs to maintain her home

dyk she negotiated a buy-out (one-time lump-sum payment). This buy-out included the house. She knows how long she and the kids can afford to stay there (kids will get thru HS)

dyk one of the benefits is that instead of waiting for a monthly check from her "Ex", she can invest and hopefully see a return on her money
